Whalewatching needs your voice so start by sending your thoughts NOW!

Of course you do but relax . . . the Planet Whale ‘whalewatching search’ is coming!

Aimed at never-seen-a-whale novices, as well as those who know the ropes, Planet Whale will soon be on hand to provide you with all the info you could ever ask for on where to see and how to watch our most inspiring ocean animals.

It will grow (we hope!) to feature as many of the 3,300 boat operators in 119 worldwide countries as possible (‘Whale Watching Worldwide - Tourism numbers, expenditures and expanding economic benefits, a special report from the International Fund for Animal Welfare’ www.ifaw.org), plus as many land-based places as you our community tell us about. You will be able to search by country, location, time of year, species, boat trips, plane flights, swim-with, and much more.

What’s more, it’s a place to post and read reviews from people who can tell us what they thought of each and every boat and headland.  Boat operators can be rated by and learn from the Planet Whale community, and everyone can contribute to knowledge and discuss issues.  Discover who, what, where and when is considered the best.  Ensure you get the best experience, and learn what’s best for whale and dolphin well-being!

Plus look out for our Top 10 recommendations. Top 10 whale & dolphin city-breaks anyone?  Top 10 places to see leaping dolphins, a whale tail, a Killer Whale?  It will all be here.

Providing everything you ever wanted to know, Planet Whale is the community that will raise the standard for global whalewatching, and inspire millions of people to connect with nature and each other.

Orcas, otherwise known as Killer Whales, may be the most widespread mammal on earth but they don't hang about! There are only a handful of whale watching destinations where they are predictable - and we will tell you where! Photo by Judith Scott
